Thanks to the expected deluge from Tropical Storm Danny this weekend, the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums concert planned for Saturday, August 29th has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 13th at 4:00 p.m. The concert will take place at the Buttrick Garden outside the North Bridge Visitor Center, 174 Liberty Street, Concord, MA. U.S. Air Force Band of Liberty, The Colonial Brass

Colonial BrassJoin us today for an afternoon concert! The Colonial Brass is the Band of Liberty’s brass ensemble. This six piece group utilizes a wide repertoire of music from Bach to Sousa to Miles Davis. They have appeared at prestigious venues such as the Music Educators National Conference (MENC), and the New York Brass Conference. The Colonial Brass is sure to dazzle and delight audiences of all ages with their wit and artistry.

Minute Man 50th JPEGAre you a former employee of Minute Man National Historical Park?  As part of the park’s on-going 50th anniversary celebration this year, we are having an Employee Alumni Reunion.  Past and present employees will mingle on Saturday, August 29th.  There will be a picnic at noon at the Hartwell Tavern Historical Area, a park hike/tour at 2 p.m., and a concert at North Bridge at 4 p.m. by the Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums.  Also, the 10th Regiment of Foot will be at Hartwell Tavern that day.  For additional information or to RSVP, contact Lou Sideris at the park at 978-318-7833 or lou_sideris@nps.gov.

On Saturday, August 29th, the Middlesex County Volunteers will return to Minute Man National Historical Park for a summer concert in honor of the Park’s 50th Anniversary. Performing in the Buttrick Garden at 4pm in Concord, this nationally recognized fife and drum corp will wow the crowds once again with their entertaining performance of 18th century music.  Save the date, plan a picnic and bring a blanket – this is a summer outing you won’t want to miss!

bandoflibertyOn Monday, May 25th, the Minute Man National Historical Park will present The U.S. Air Force Band of Liberty at the North Bridge Visitor Center for a very special Memorial Day concert at 2:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Come and listen to stirring patriotic music on the day set aside to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
